Installed a pair if McNally gauges in a Lotek pillar pod. Top gauge has boost on the dial and EGT on the digital display. Bottom gauge has engine oil pressure on the dial and oil temp on the digital. I'm waiting on another fitting to hook up a transmission temp sensor that I'll toggle with a DPDT switch on the dash to display either engine oil temp or trans temp on the bottom display. More pics and a modest writeup to come in a separate thread.

Post a link to the write up :)

I thought Lotek was coming out with a 3 pod pillar? I guess the switch is the only way to go then.

Trying to find Euro torque converter part number. Too much confusion with all of the standard torque converter part numbers floating around. search function is useless :banghead: . On another note, Anybody know if the euro would hold up to the hot tune?

Torque Converter 68037142AA

It holds up just fine, never heard a shutter, just a solid connection to the engine and rear wheels.

I posted a bunch of part numbers here as well viewtopic.php?p=518343#p518343

I cut the turn down, on end of exhaust, off and trimmed rear bumper to install a tip

It isn't perfect but it gave it a deeper tone, got rid of the drone inside, and a little sportier look.

Nice touch, but a file and sand paper would do wonders on the roughness of the plastic bumper. Any concern about heat in the vicinity of the bumper?

Ya I tryed a file it wasn't helping much, didn't have any sand paper. :banghead:

Was but I've been checking it in town and open road. Plastic is no hotter than if the sun was hitting it. I left around 1/4" between plastic and tip.

I too would like to know how the bumper handles the heat from the muffler.

No muffler. Drove it HARD to town (48 miles). EGT max was 1100 degrees. Plus a couple of hours of town driving. Outside temp was 92. Plastic still wasn't hot enough to take my hand away. There is a lot of air flow around the tip. Trust me I was worried too, but the plastic under, next to the stock exit didn't show any fatigue. Must have a good heat resistant plastic.

well I put a $500 deposit on it yesterday, and will pick it up tomorrow, 2006 with 63k miles on it, navy blue sport edition. Need to start getting my act in gear and find filters and fluids for it, then figure out deletes, unplugs, whatever to make it more reliable, better mpg, and fun to drive. paid 13 grand for it so not too bad.

o I read the noob guide, fortunately this is not my first diesel, my current daily driver is a 2004.5 quad cab ram with cummins power plant...... which happens to have 175 hp over stock injectors, twin cp3's, hamilton 181 210 cam, HTT 64 71 13 SS turbo over an S480. makes an easy 75 psi boost and about 10 times that in the hp department. this liberty is so I can make my truck last longer.
