Congratulation and my hats off for so much patience. 13 pages of group therapy and positive re-enforcement.... :-)r

On another note, what is it with the quasi-hitch coming out of the back? It looks like you're either ready to sting something or mate with a Land Rover.

Seriously, congratulations. The only longer running threads are either stickers or stickies.

Congrats, now you get to break it in all over again. We have not seen a first oil change thread in a long time around here.

Ok I am home now. About 500 miles on the "new" KJ. Fuel milage is disappointing but I am sure it will get better with time. Oh wait we already went over this, lol. No actuall the milage is on par with what it was before the engine failer. John Greene was very good to me, I will give then kudos for that. I did find the aitfilter box was not secure. other than that is runs like it did and I look forward to 3yr 100000 mile warranty the engine now has. TC was replaced with the updated one and shifts are good and no issues so far with the "shudder" I did not liek the fact I drove so many highway miles on it and did not really get varried loads on it. There has been about 80 miles of city driving and a couple of WOT digs into it. I am on th efirst full tank in it and we will see what range I get form it. Again had it not been for all of you here, the shining stars and the residents a-holes both, I probably would have parted it out and moved on to something else. As for keeping it I am still not sure, but it has been a fun few days of driving over stuff and not having to avoid pot holes. I am looking at another road trip Friday to Columbia SC for a graduation so probably tacking on another 900 miles in the first week of having it back. Again to all, thanks.

Oh and to anyone for Chrysler that might read this, you have lost a customer for life and a few others as well. I called my dad he will not be buying a new truck and car from anyone at Chrysler, Ford is what he will purchase next. Your piss poor customer service and the lack of coming off of $210, yes TWO HUNDRED TEN DOLLARS, has cost you $90,000 sale of 2 new vehicles from my family. I will spread the word of conversation I had with Mike today while coming home from NC and picking up my Jeep. Please don't try and threaten me, I have been down this road before and I invite you to try and sue me for slander, I won last time and I will win again. Good ridence.

Glad to hear that the CRD is running well for you.

As far as Chrysler corporate's complete lack of caring about the customer... Yours isn't the only family that will *N*E*V*E*R* buy another one of their products. New or used, this is it. My family has three (had four) Mopar vehicles currently, and that will be it. If / when the opportunity arises to depart from these vehicles... Sayonara and begone.

Why such feelings? The build quality is based on save-a-penny-and-screw-the-customer bean counting as we all know... But SO IS THE WARRANTY PLAN. To have a customer with a confirmed warranty and decide to vacate that warranty 'just because'... Then be more upset that the customer had hardcopy of warranty rather than agreeing that yes it did exist. Their question of "where did you get that paperwork, you aren't supposed to have that" proved that they weren't interested in caring about a customer's experience.

Fine, enjoy the $150 you took from me for that warranty change fee. I will make certain to tell ANYONE who asks about my experience and steer them away from the dreck you call a product line.

Well I got a call from Chrysler yesterday again, sorry I did not post but inspecting buildings after yesterdays earthquake was more important, lol. We were less than 50 miles from the epicenter. Jeep agreed on some bonus money, above what I was asking for. I will not say how much but it was more than I had asked for, so I am happy. Too bad it came to a heated discussion on the way back from picking up the Jeep. Yes mother I was using my bluetooth. So and I happy? No not really, but I did get what I thought was a fair request. Will it change my dad's mind on buying a new Ram 2500 Cummins, no way in hell. Will it change mine, not sure right now, but if I had to purchase tomorrow, off to the Ford lot I would go. So we will see how it all goes.

I'm glad they are making you whole again, and whatever else is whipped cream and a cherry on top. Be VERY careful that they don't shove an NDA in front of you to cash the check however... I'm sure you are smart enough to catch something like that, but I wouldn't put it past them to try, b/c that would give them an opportunity to come after you if you told the saga to someone in the future. Truth or not, they are going to want to watch that this is kept quiet to manage their public opinion.

Oh that would be the icing on the cake for a NDA. But one can use the NDA as well against them. Sunwest Honda do you remember me???? LOL that was a good time with them and their lawyers.

AUUGHH WTF? darn this thing.

P0299 Boost Pressure Regulation Control Range not reached

P0401 EGR System-Insufficent Flow

So any suggestions? New EGR? Pull all the CAC hoses, cleanand reinstall?

Bite the bullet and go buy the GED Eco tune?

6000 miles on the new engine and you would think it would run right for at least 10K miles! Grrrrrrrr

Seems to be worth the money just in avoided aggravation. Hope you get it figured easily.
