I know I have the towing group because it's on my vehicle's build sheet but since I got the vehicle used I don't know for sure what that group included. When I've ordered a towing pkg on a Chrysler/Plymoth gas vehicle it's typically included bigger brakes, beefier battery, a higher output alternator, and better tranny cooling but never the extra in front of the radiator tranny cooler (these are typically after market) and no difference in the suspension.
Comparing what I got, from memory, on my original 2005, purchased new without the towing pkg, with my current 2005, used with the towing pkg, the differences I know of is my current vehicle came with a Mopar factory Class III receiver hitch, a Mopar 7-pin wiring plug-out, and a Mopar 7-pin to 4-pin adaptor. Looking at the parts manual all CRDs have the same part #s for with the battery, alternator, brakes, and, I think, tranny cooling. So my conclusion is the "AHT" trailer tow group included only the factory hitch and associated wiring. I'd also note that the Owner's Manual simply list 1 towing capacity entry for the CRD in contrast to other KJ engines with automatic transmissions where it distinguishes between those w vs wo tranny cooling.
