So my Red Top battery finally gave up the ghost..wouldn't crank enough to start this morning. Put the charger on it so I could start it to get to
AutoZone. Now I've got a P0610 DTC, the manual says this:

P0610-AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CODED AS MANUAL TRANSMISSION
For a complete wiring diagram Refer to Section 8W
² When Monitored:
With the ignition on.
² Set Condition:
The ECM detects an automatic transmission when it has been programmed for a manual transmission.

Anyone ever had this happen to them before? It drives OK, but the code will not clear.

Dave

Yup I've got the same code. seems to be related to trying to jump start the Jeep, if you search around on the forum you'll see that people talk about only being able to fix it be replacing the ECU. Not an option in my book.

Well that sux. Looks like I'll have to get used to the light being on like with the off road mod before my GDE tune.

The tune will fix the P0610 error code light.

Which tune would that be? I already have your Eco tune.

This is a special request tune we can create if needed. Since you are close, we could update the tune if you drive-in or via our flash tool. Give us a call and we can discuss the options.

Thanks,
GDE

Can the 0610 "delete" be included in any other tune?

I talked to Keith and he said could update my 1.5 year old eco tune, I guess they have made a few revisions since I got mine and get rid of the P0610 for $75.00. Seems reasonable to me, just have to wait for a new shipment of flash tools to arrive.
