REF: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=56696&p=630729&hilit=GLOW+removal#p630729

I've searched the forums and am comfortable with replacing my glow plugs, which are currently original ceramic and unplugged as I just flashed the GDE Eco Tune for the metal plugs. While re-reading the above, I picked up on the need for a gasket that will need to be replaced when doing the install, for the intake elbow.

Have folks done this without replacing the gasket? Did they use gasket in a tube or go to the dealer? Anyhow have the part number by chance (and if so, how do you guys get the part numbers, I am sort of amazed at this)? Thanks,

My gasket came apart when the elbow came off. I rtved the sucker back on.

The parts numbers can be found in the parts fiches, look in the noob guide, then down towards the bottom there is a link to the service manuals and parts fiches, you can look through those to find the part numbers.

Anyone know the part number for the intake gasket?

the parts fische lists 05066946AA as the part number and moparonlineparts.com doesn't come up with anything to order.

I think that is the correct number.

05066946AA is available from http://www.factorychryslerparts.com for $2.70

In my experience it is hit and miss on CRD parts at the online places. I haven't found one yet that consistently has everything in their online catalog.

Prices vary tremendously too. Some of them sell at list. I can get that anywhere.

You are surprised??? That's why I buy the small and/or inexpensive parts from the dealer. In this case it's $2.70+shipping vs. $3.50+local tax. I don't have to look to figure out what's going to be cheaper.
