Difference between the 05 and 06 Liberty CRD

Ok, here's what the 2006 brochure says about the brakes...

"The standard four-wheel antilock brakes system (ABS) now incorporates larger four-wheel disc brakes and a new all-speed traction control system that helps manage wheel slippage by routing torque to the drive wheels with the most traction"

Maybe its just marketing?

I have an '05 service manual and many of the parts don't even have part numbers for the diesel equivalent. One case is the alternator - I'm not sure what amperage the CRD alternator is rated at.

We traded our 2005 V6 for a 2006 CRD.....

I was just pointing out that the claim that "its the law to have ABS on new cars" is false... Unless its a recent change as of 2006, but I doubt it. Does the wrangler even have ABS at all?

Was looking through my Warranty Manual today and noticed that the 7 year/100,000 mile diesel engine warranty is NOT in that specific manual, but rather mentioned in the 24-Hour Roadside Assistance Manual. It actually states that the diesel engine comes with the 7yr/100k warranty and thus the 24-hour towing is covered if such a warrantable item is repaired under the 7yr/100k warranty.

Will this cause a problem down the road if the need for warranty work arises? It's like the warranty is stated in the wrong place...

I think that has changed with the 2006 tho?
