I have a 06 Liberty 65 anniversary edition and hate the auto door lock. the O/M tells how to disable this feature if you have the EVIC, Which I do not have. Is this something I can do on my own, If so How, or do I need to go to the dealer to have this done ?

Bad news, the 2006 service manual reads:

STANDARD PROCEDURE
STANDARD PROCEDURE - RKE TRANSMITTER CUSTOMER PREFERENCES
AUTOMATIC (ROLLING) LOCKS
The rolling locks feature can be toggled ON/OFF by using the scan tool only.
