Let us know how you like it.

When I was at the dealer the other day I took a peek at the commanders. It looked pretty nice.

I was thinking about getting a commander too - besides the KJ.
The one model that has all the armor in it already looks sweet...
Should we even think about opening a forum for the commander?
just a thought.
Sad to hear you hat to let your KJ go.
Keep us posted

The one I got has the "Off road package" same bs skids but it is full skid protection, it has a thing called ESP to prevent roll they claim, Quad trac 2, traction controll, something called BAS, V8 and we are getting 18MPG. They recommened to take off the front air dam ( a cool design that is removed with two finger screws) when going extreme off roading, dont think were going to be doing the extreme off roading yet/ever.
But man the 3 rows is a dream for us that have the tykes...tons of room and I still get to wear the Jeep Badge. I will post some pics for you guys to check out.

We just traded my wife's KJ for a XK Commander 65th anniversary edition this weekend. The Commander really grew on me...at first I didn't like them but after driving it and riding in it for a while it's starting to grow on me. The styling is awesome and they drive very nice. Only problem is the headrests are shaped VERY odd on all the seats...it was this way with every trim package we looked at. And it forces your head into a 45 degree angle and hurts your neck if you try to rest against the back of the seat. Plus the kids are complaining that while they are in their booster seats in the 2nd row it's very uncomfy for them where their heads rest against the headrest in the seats. So as nice as the Commander is, my wife is having second guesses about it. She might turn it back in tonight. We'll see...

I think in KY there is a 3-day clause on contracts that let's you get out if you decide to. Doesn't matter though...wife decided to keep the Commander even though she is very unhappy about the seats.

I'm sorry to see your KJ go, but...if you have to change it I think the Commander is the way to go!
Good luck with it, and with the new baby on the way.
