UPDATE
I ended up using the Autolite Copper
Image

8)

Feel free to read through these posts to find how I came to this conclusion.

--------------------------------------------------
So before anyone says SEARCH. I did. lol. I read through 18 pages to be exact, lol.
The most recent post about anything relevant (with actual information) was back in January. So I think its ok to ask my question. lol.
Plus I want to share this sweet deal with everyone that is looking for plugs.

Anyyywayyyyyy,
So it's time to swap out my spark plugs again.

I am definitely going with Autolites.
Either the Double Platinum (http://www.amazon.com/Autolite-APP5224- ... 576&sr=1-3)
Or the Xtreme Performance Iridium (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ET ... PDKIKX0DER)

Some people were saying that the Iridium weren't so good, others had no problems. I know this topic is usually another "personal preference" type situation, so I'll take everyone's advice accordingly.

On that note, Autolite has a MIR for all their spark plugs up until 11/30/11. (http://www.autolite.com/products/rebate ... s/?pid=424)

Amazon has the Double Platinum for
 • $5.18-$1.50 MIR = $3.68 x 6 = 22.08 (Free Shipping)
They also have the Xtreme Iridium on sale for
 • $4.74-$2.00 MIR = $2.74 x 6 = 16.44 (Free Shipping)

Sooooo, the "better" plugs are actually cheaper. This price difference doesn't affect me at all.

Should I go with the "better" plugs? Are the Iridiums not worth it?

Should I just stick with Double Platinum, or even the regular Copper Core?

At the moment I'm leaning toward the Xtreme Iridium Plugs.

Thanks Peeps.

Ran Autolite Iridium for about 5000m. Seemed to run a little rough, start a little harder,MPG stayed the same. The rough/kinda missing is why I switched back to copper.

Hmmm, looking like copper plugs. (Just like my original, original plan).

Anybody else out there with some ideas?

Do you recommend Champion over the other brands?

Glad to have seen this post....Haven't changed the plugs in my Liberty yet...it idles smooth, starts easily...I've always ran NGK's in my motorcycles, and wouldn't have thought twice about using them in my Jeep...However I will take Troy's advice on matters of Liberty...

I have the NGK Iridium plugs, and so far they have been fine. The jeep runs good and yields good mileage even though I have a pig of a jeep, but they are EXPENSIVE. I probably wont pull the plugs until I get at least 40,000 miles on them.

I just noticed that you have a 2007 (same year as mine). I was told that we have the crossover year engine, which might be slightly different than the 2002-2006 gassers. I think our all temp is different.

I went to AutoZone today, and the computer said OEM was double platinum.. so I didn't buy anything yet.

Is that possible?

When I go back I'll have them run the 2006 and see what it says.

What makes autozone more $$$,a $2 spark plug or a $5 apark plug? And that is why they list it the way they do,to make more $$$.

Nice, thanks. This might be the cheapest thing I ever do to my jeep.

So I am guessing the copper plugs need gapping, or are they good to go out of the box like some of the others? Just curious...

No, they need to be gapped. I had to open them up about .005
