This Ultimate thread also appears to make no mention of doing a SFA swap..... I feel like we've been left out in the cold :ROTFL:

I don't have approximately $15,000 to invest in my Liberty.........

Besides, if I wanted that..... I'd go all nostalgic and find an '84 Ford F150 shortbed with TTB front suspension......
..... and proceed to install a 6 - 8 inch long arm kit, dual gas shocks on all four corners, full skids including axles,
4.88 gears with ARB locker in the Dana 44 up from, and a Detroit Locker in the 9 inch rear, 37 inch MT tires,
and custom bumpers front & rear.

That is...... IF I wanted to invest $15,000 in a trail rig.......

Oddly enough I was under the impression this was "The Ultimate Lift Thread" for KJ's???? It doesn't matter what it costs if you're going to make an Ultimate anything it better include everything.

OK..... here's where I'm at right now:
<snip>
Frankenlift II in the front, with JBA upper control arms.

JBA 2.5" coils & Bilstein shocks in the rear.

New Bump Stops at all four corners.

No clevis or plates up front for now.
I will pick up a set of upper iso's for the rear, just in case it's sits low in the back.

</snip>

Budget has been set....... looks like this is going to be the winning candidate.

According to what I've re-read in this thread, 4 inch JBA coils sit roughly the same height
as OME 948's with 2 extra iso's per side, but may cause issues if not weighted down.

So, some final questions before parts are ordered:

What is the spring rate of the JBA 2.5 & 4 inch coil?
OME is around 400, and stock is 325 I believe.

Will the addition of sliders and skids be sufficient weight to warrant going to 4 inch rear coils?
Still not liking the idea of stacking iso's.......... but don't want "expensive" issues later on either.

What is the best way to get ahold of the folks at JBA for prompt answers to questions?
Telephone, e-mail, ....???
Now that I'm in "buy" mode, I won't feel like a such a pest.......

And finally......
Have I driven everyone completely mad with all my questions????? :ROTFL:

OME 927s "are" 400 lb rating
OEM are 310 lb

Best bet is just to call Marlin and ask
great guy to talk to

As for JBA Spring Rates according to Marlin the 6" and 8" Springs have a rate of 200LB I can't see his 4" springs being any different, but he was quick to reply when I asked him about those rates a few months back.

Okay, after 2 days of looking at this I'm getting a headache! :banghead:

I'm trying to make sense of it all, and I think I need to start by going back to 4th grade or something.

Its all very simple
some try and make it out to be a very big deal when in fact its not :ROTFL:
only a couple of ways to go
OME springs and Bilstein or OME shocks
Frankenlift
or coil over lift from JBA

just say no to Skyjackers/ Rustys/ RRO and you'll be fine

AllJs and JeepinByAl are both great companies to buy from
whats so complicated ?

I installed a Frankenlift.
Added 16 mm. of Clevis lift and two rear isolators.
I machined down the CV joints myself.
When first installed our KJ had 4.25" of lift.
Now that it has settled and been bagged on for two years
I am about to install a ⅜" top plate to gain back ¾ of an inch.
At that time I will also play with the Clevis lift to level it out if
need be.
