be careful with the size of bolts that hold the carrier to the ring... they changed them some where 05-06ish. I suggest adding a carrier replacement locker (detroit no slip, detroit tru trac, ARB.. ect..) that way you can just match the bolts in the locker to the bolts in the ring gear.

i just got my 4.10's for the 8.25 from 4wd.com i talked to woody there... he really knew his stuff. for the front i changed the diff to one that came out of a 4cyl KJ that came with 4.10s

We're in B.C. and I bought my gears and rebuild kits from Jeepin' By Al.
As always, excellent service.

Do you guys think the 4:10 gears would be to much for 245/75/16? i just noticed the trany hunts all the time with the stock 3:73 gears

Chris ( 03CDKJ) is running 265-70-16s ( pretty much same height as 245-75s) and 4.10s with no problems
Really with the 265-75s I wish mine were lower than 4.10s

Tommudd,
Thanks for the reply! I never figured it would be as bad as it is. If you on the Highway its ok but any hill it hunts all over. When towing my 10 tent trailer its even worse. I just don't want to lose a tone of MPG. I have the magnaflow catback and the ram-air intake from a member on here. It runs great but could sure you some help when towing. Was thinking of the Jet chip but have herd many bad reviews on them!
