ok this is driving me nuts. once in a while my parking light will burn out.. or just go out.. i'll change the bulb and mess with it then it'll come back on. and the turn signal is always on-off working and not working. part of the turn signal problem is because the ARB bumper came with smaller lights for that socket in the parking/turn fixture.. but i had to put in a larger bulb to add more resistance to slow down the blink. but now that bulb hits the clear plastic cover allowing moisture in and also pushes on the bulb messing with the ground (because they go in sockets). also the parking light works sometimes.. and doesnt work sometimes..

both sockets have a hot and ground wire coming from the back
both bulbs are 1156 (one NA one clear) single filament

what i need is some one to help me figure out what cluster of LED's to use. I want to hard wire them in (no sockets) both clusters of LED's need to be orange/amber. do i need inline resistors to slow down the blink to the LED's?

here are some pictures for a visual

If I'm not mistaken, the ARB uses a parking light from a VW.
Also, they are notorious for having issues with water getting in. People usually seal them up with silicon etc.
I say Google some awesome LEDs to make it work with the bumper.

Why not just get some 1156 L.E.D. replacement bulbs.
They are available in amber, clear, etc.

LOOKS GOOD!
I would make the larger light the signal though. It would be more noticeable, or wire them in parallel, parking and signal together, wouldn't be able to miss it then!

well the old bulb to new LED swap is complete. I now have hard wired (no socket) waterproof LED's in a waterproof housing for the front turn signal and parking light. i mounted the resistors to the front reinforcement. All lights perform perfect and the flasher blinks at the correct rate of speed. This entire project only cost me $40.

Here is a finished video

where did you find the light you put as the side running light in the 2 1/4" hole on the arb bumper? is that a running light or turn signal?
