Took the truck to a job interview today. Hoping for the best, if it doesn't come through there might not be any more gas money....if it does she can keep her gas addiction and get some mods

Looking good. I'd really like to do this or something to get lights on the front of my jeep. How did you cut the ends of the bar? I don't have an angle grinder and my dremel is :dead: I may just have to go get a new one

Thanks, and those lights do look good. They seem like they almost match the headlights.

How did you mount it? Just bolts through the plastic? I know it's been brought up 100 times but I'm still concerned about the stability of the bar just bolted to the plastic bumper. Especially in winter they can be kind of brittle in my past experience.

yes i used 1/4x20" flat head bolt and to be honest i am little concerned about this too,it is not really stable but its not that bad
i'll drive around for couple days and i'll see if somethings is wrong i'll try to fabricate some extra support for bumper...

Got an idea for you... Use longer self tapping bolts and go through the metal. Pre drill a hole 1/16" smaller than the bolts, shim out the gap between the metal and plastic with washers or a sleeve then mount the bar on that. Just make sure there isn't anything beneath the area the bolts go.

And a ***** to disassemble. Even if I screw something up on assembly, it's twice as hard to make it right in the little 47 second window I have.

i took mine off to do that same thing, and to this day, it never went back in properly... it is just moving around in the engine bay as i drive.... its annoying, it won't click in.... ugh fail. :dead:

New rear brake pads. Fronts still look OK. Tomorrow will replace burned out passenger side amber marker light bulb. Almost time to replace fluids and plugs.

lol there is a much easier way... pull off the grill and unscrew the light... you have all the room you want to work... then screw it back on and put the grill back... should take only 15 minutes... i could prob have it done in like 7. including set up and clean up

Oh I was done in maybe less than 5 minutes. Remember, I build Jeeps so I know how to take them apart.

Removed the daystar top plates from my ome front lift and put in the stock ones. This is the 5th time taking apart my front suspension in a year. Did it in 3 hrs 25 min which includes using spring compressors and disassembling the coil assembly. New record.

Ome 927/bilstein/2 conduit nut: 22" driver 22.5" passenger side. Might have to take out the clevis lift.

1.My cvs look like they are in pain

2.stock ucas hit the spring. I think the ball joint might actually be hitting the spring on one side

are your UCAs rubbing now that you are back to the stock top plates?

i'm having second thoughts about doing the clevis lift in conjunction with the OME lift
