So working on the Jeep this weekend I noticed that after I was letting the thing warm up and took a look under, there was black water (carbon) leaking from the connection between the header portion of the exhaust pipe and the muffler portion. Also, I noticed a small hole where more was slightly dripping out right on the front flat part of the muffler. Put my hand up there and I could feel the air leak. darn thing looks like someone took a liottle metal punch and put a round hole in it. Going to put some JB Weld on that to seal it. But I'm guessing a new gasket for the connectgion won't do it.. it almost seems like they are coming together at a slight "V".

New muffler I suppose. Now to decide if I go stock or something cool. Probably a good Idea to get it replaced before I have to do emissions.

hole in muffler is to let water vapor out

ah ok, well it does that good. I'd expect the hole to be closer to the bottom. I haven't done anything with it yet, but was sold the wrong gasket for the connection so I need to take that back.

Yep normal and no gasket in that connection anyways.

That hold is normal, the hold is meant to let vapor condensation drip out, don't plug that hold with JB weld!
