I'll be installing my lift this weekend, and have been looking at new rims.
I'll be sticking with my 235/75/16 Firestone Destination AT's for awhile, as
they have only 10K miles on them.

I've found a set of rims I like; but am curious if the purchase will be worth the
effort, as the rims have a 5" backspacing.

I know the target is 4 - 4.5 for backspacing with a lift, and am wondering if I should
keep looking.

The specs for the rim are: 16X8 offset +12 (4.97 back spacing)

I really don't care for the Soft 8's, and haven't seen a 16X7 that has the correct backspacing
that I like.

Suggestions??????

Close to what Moabs are so would work but you'll need more bumpstop in the rear if you ever want to go off road and do any flexing. I have to run 3 inches in the rear to keep somewhat off the flares and I've trimmed and beat them over as much as I can.
Of course running bigger tires as well

NOW on to the next part those tires are way too small for an 8 inch wheel

I've been running my 265-70-16s with my 4.25 back spaced rims with stock franky lift bump stops in the rear, and while they scrape on extreme flex(three wheels) I haven't had a flare get anywhere close to coming off. I wish I went to 265-75-16s so I could justify putting the 3inch bumpstops without having a big gap of unused flex like with my tires now and the 3inch bumpstops.

I love those, but pricey and heavy as heck! I am still jealous though :banghead:
