I'm looking at some new tires for winter. Sams Club in my area has Dunlop Rover RVXTs for a decent price, so I went over to Discount Tire, to see if they could price match. They can, but they're trying to convince me to buy the Yokohama Geolandars instead.

I've already got Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors for summer/off-roading. So.......anyone know whether the Dunlops or the Yokohamas are a better winter tire?

Are they snowflaked? I didn't check but see if either are snow rated

The dunlops are snowflaked, the Yokohamas aren't.

Thus, the snowflake wins. Dunlpops are on order, and I'll put them on next week. Let the snow fall!

Not sure that I understand, Silent Armors are snowflaked and they are AT tires. Dunlop RVXT are also AT tires and snowflaked so what is the difference?

Good question: I'm getting the dunlops in a smaller size. The Silent Armors just weren't giving me the traction I'd like on slick roads, so I thought I'd jump back down in size for the winter. I'll put the Goodyears back on next spring, for playing in the mud/rocks/sand.
