I picked it up about 53 years ago and it just seemed to stick...

I was skidplate on the old forum and decided to go with something I could remember easier for this one.

My user name came from my own name. Edwin is my middle name. It is a rare name. I knew if I went with Edwin, no one else would have the same name. It is German or Czech name, and I'm happy to be German. From the "Busch" line.

in 1999 we went to perrysburg ohio "just to look at" the pug puppies. we passed the town of Luckey. the pups were an L named litter, we picked one out and named him Luckey. needed a gender neutral login for different forums, so LuckeyDuckey came into being. we use it for geocaching too.

In the '70's a Sci-Fi movie was made called Logan's Run and it was followed by a t.v. series.

If you don't know about the movie, basically some major world event happened and they ended up building a "self-sufficient" domed city to keep the survivors in. Well, they stayed there for a long long time. They had many rules, one included not performing sexual reproduction. (but there were people to have sex with, go figure) Because they couldn't make babies, that meant everyone was cloned to keep the race going. Given a name and then a number for the generation. (Sound familiar? "The Island" seems like a rip off.) Well, to keep people from over populating the city, they would have a kind of lottery called the Carosel. Basically, when you turned 30 a little light on the back of your hand would turn red, which meant you had to go to Carosel. In the Carosel everyone was spun around and the lucky ones were zapped and put back into the system. (Sound fishy?) Those who didn't want to go into the Carosel tried to find "Sanctuary" and would "run". (Don't trust anyone over 30) They would send people after these "runners" called "Sandmen". The guys that would put you "to sleep". Well, one of the Sandmen was chasing a runner and ended up, thru a bunch of things, becoming a runner. His name was Logan 5. Hence the name of the movie "Logan's Run".

So, my last name is Logan. There are 6 kids in my family. Sometimes we'd go by our numbers. I'm the sixth. Hence LoganSix. Also, before Logan 5 goes after the runner, he heads by the birthing place where the next generation of Sandman has just come out of the incubator. Logan 6 has been born.

Yesertday I got my new NC license plate with LOGANSIX on it.

Well I went by TRON on forums long ago but I took on the name Zeroack after seeing in in Graffiti on the side of a rail car. I've never had that name taken on any forum. Plus it's original. When I meet others from online they call me Zero which I unfortunately respond to.

Zero
