After turning the headlights on, pull the end of the stalk out, and it will extend to switch on the fog lights. When you switch your hi beams on the fog lights will go out, but will go back on when the hi beams are switched off.

And there's a delay from the time you pull the switch to the time the lights go on....

There are instruction floating around somewhere for a mod which allows the fog lights to remain on when the high beams are engaged. It's not strictly legal in most states but it has saved me from several encounters with deer up here in the north woods.

Wanted a diesel, found it on the Internet with 44K miles on it, flew down to Florida and drove it back one weekend. Smelled kinda like dog pee though...

Ah ha, the turn signal stalk also dims the panel lights. Well -I drove it for a month before I found radio control buttons on the back of the steering wheel ! Cool The Navigation system speaks.. Hey- how do you turn on the heated mirrors??

Heated mirrors activate with the rear defroster button. When that is on, so are they, but it has a timer circuit if they re-frost and you thought that you left the defroster on.

rictek - I hate to say it this way but it sounds like you need some quality time with the owners manual. If you don't have a copy or know where it is look on the shelf in the top of the glove box; if it's not there you can download a PDF version from the Jeep WEB site or read Sir Sam's NOOB guide, you should anyway, and download from there. FYI if you download the Factory Service Manuals get both 05 and 06 for some screwball reason the 06 manual lacks the "keys" to the numbered items on all the illustrations but those keys are in the 05 manual.

Guess you didn't read the manual for your computer either as you sure didn't read the one for your CRD on how to properly flat tow it.
