Hello !
I was wondering how to clean the MAF . I already did the MAP but I was thinking, now that is time to replace the air filter to clean the MAF , that is just situated nearby the air box.
Except that is very delicate part and it should be cleaned with a specific non-chlorine spray ( ex: Contact cleaner for electronic devices ) there's something I should be warned about ? :juggle:
I could not find any relevant post in the forum about it ... so that's why I am posting the question...

Anyway, I would like to wish to all LOST jeepers plenty of happy driving miles on theirs Libby. :JEEPIN:

Leave it dirty, unplug it to stop the egr, then get a gde tune here ----> http://www.greendieselengineering.com

If you really want to clean it still, you can just get a can of MAF cleaner spray at any auto parts store for a few bucks.

I know , I know..... GDE does beautiful stuff :|

But I live in Europe and just the idea to ship/send overseas the ECM is very pretty scaring ( not only in terms of costs ).

Each two years is mandatory to have a exhausts test of the vehicle . In case of anomalies they simply do not release the technical attestation valid for the next two years drive :dizzy:
I do ignore if the GDE ECM modification in terms of NOx / CO improve the situation

Actually I am looking for a solution that can be reverted to the original one in a easy way (basically just before going to the tests :seuss: )

Anyway thank you for your answer....

It'll probably run cleaner with it unplugged as there is less smoke, etc. Just my opinion. However, if you just unplug it and plug it back in before your test, that'll work too. You'll get better MPG and a happier engine and wallet.

This doesn't require cleaning very often.
The wife is driving the service schedule around right now but I don't think that it even includes MAF cleaning.

If I can get MAF cleaner at my local Canadian Tire, it has to be a fairly common item.
I bought CRC SensorKleen and it was cheaper than WD40.
