hey all!

Need some advice and help. A few days ago, my speedometer started going funky, cutting in and out, and bouncing to the top of the scale. Now, on my way home from work tonight, my transmission will suddenly not shift! Stays in first, unless I manually select 2nd. There does not appear to be any slipping, and the fluid is at the right level, and looks and smells good. Anybody know whether the PCM actually controls the shifts, or is the valve body shot?

cheers!
Adam

Actually, what I think you are talking about is the TCM. Transmission Control Module. I found a factory manual online that had how to troubleshoot those symptoms. What is sounds like is your transmission is in limp home mode.
