I have a 05 sport with ome lift and about 115000 miles. I have had the lift on for about 6 months and for about the last 2 months my steering wheel has been vibrating. It only starts when I reach 65 mph and goes until 75 mph. I had an alignment done and tires balanced and rotated but it didn't fix the vibration. I am gonna be leaving for Florida in a few weeks and I do not want to deal with this for the whole ride down and back...
Any ideas????
AJ

Rotate the tires front to back and see if it's still there.

balance is looking at weight - if there's a wheel problem - it may not fix an issue.
also rotating - separates wheels/tires - from bearings/U-joints so it can help identify the problem.

That was the first thing I did and the vibe was still there..

Can you feel it more in the front or rear?
If one or the other then there is where you start
If not then more than likely a driveline vibe
Start with easy to check things like the rear boot on the front driveshaft,
rear U joints next, remember they can feel tight but be worn completely out
Start there

Well if you balanced and rotated the tires you have about 100 things left to check.

Tie rod ends
Balljoints
Wheel bearings
Steering rack
Driveshafts,front and rear
Front control arm bushings
Rear control arm bushings
CV axles

That's just to start.

I figured it was gonna be a PITA,
tie rod ends are good, had the tire shop check them
front driveshafts rear head replaced in november
How do you check for bad u-joints, cv axles, wheel bearings?
