Have any of you testing or having purchased and installed the Etecno1 7v CRD glow plugs had any cold weather (ideally below 20F) start experience? If so how did things go? Please note if your experience was with or without the use of the block heater.

I, too, have been curious about this. BTW: Are the new style GP's supposed to improve cold weather starting?

I would (privately) talk with GDE about their experiences with them so far.

I've personally seen them start an engine at +/- freezing temps (where the ECU was programmed for the 7V ceramics), and it was not pretty at all.

Interesting comment which I could understand in the testing phase but these are generally available now. What do GDE have to loose by not being open about their observations? With many of us considering using these GPs as replacements some reviews would be welcome especially from people living in climates that test them to their limits.
