 Post subject: Part of a thermostat for sale?

I,m confused. How would they have removed the top from the body, and how do they expect someone to reattach it?

Maybe it is a part from the fabricator before the pieces are sonically welded together. Maybe the guy manufacturing the housing above could use it as a core.

Your guess as to source might be correct but it's primarily the bottom part that kap uses for his cores. What I'm curious about is whether or not someone has figured out how to "unweld" this upper part and if so whether one can insert a new tstat in this upper part of the housing and put things back together. I doubt both parts of that issue but it's worth wasting a few bytes on an email.
