One of these days I'm gonna find a quality HID kit and use the heck out of them. :)

FYI I'm a woman. No worries :)

And NewjerseyKK if you have such a prob with these, return them and get the Bi-Xenon Kit. DDM is really flexable with returns. I had to return the harness and ballast. They had no problem sending me a new one. And i used them too!

I edited my post. Oops, sorry.

I believe NJKK ordered the Bi-Xenon kit???

No worries! Its an honest mistake :P

Hey everyone I'm new here and was looking for some help. I just tried installing the DDM hi/low HID kit, however the passenger side light will not turn on. I tested the bulb and it works fine on the other side. Anyone have any ideas on what I did wrong because everything looks like its hooked up correctly to me? Did I need the wiring harness accessory because there isn't enough power for the other side?

I have a 2011 liberty if that makes a difference.

Thanks.

Try adding the relay harness for a stable 12v power source. Kks seem to have nothing but problems with hids so get ready.

Try checking the white connector. I think there are 8 or so wires that go into it. When I got mine there was a crappy connection with one of them and I had solder it back in. It still didnt work all that well. And even after I fixed the connection I only had Lows or highs, I couldnt switch from one to the other.

Installed the HID fogs today from DDM and those didn't work at all. Any ideas on the fogs? Seems like going with Silverstars or something is going to be a better bet since I can't really get anything to work right with these HIDs. I'm having issue the the hi/lows as well, the highs stay on once they are turned on and last time I turned the liberty on the it turned on the highs by itself. I didn't realize that the DDM hids had this many problems, what is everyone else using right now?

Flip the connector on it its reversed the normal clip to click on OE connector needs to go the opposite direction.

Clip on OE harness to non clip side of Ballast

So has anyone gotten the Fogs to work with the high/lows? I had both in my Turbo MINI a few years ago but havent pulled the trigger on these yet as I wasnt sure if being in the same housing it would get too hot and melt the housings. I've heard there are more issues with fogs than with the headlights...

i read a thread somewhere on here where someone else had the high temp concerns you have

i have not had any problem with my 35 watt bulbs melting my lenses, and if memory serves me right, the other person said that they found that their stock fogs ran hotter than the hid fogs

I think Jeepin_it_real ran dual HID for a while.

I personally have had my headlight HID's in since Oct 09 and have yet to have any issues.

Also, unless you change the power source going to the fig lamps, the fogs can not be run with the high beams since they are controlled by the TIPM. If you had access to the starscan, you might be able to find a way to override the OEM setting.

Youll need a custom harness not the normal h13-2 that comes in the box .. had a shop make mine for me.

I have dual HID (bixenon HID headlights and HID fogs). no problem with lenses. do not run 55 watt they get too hot... also do not apply any tint to the lens as that will trap heat and let the headlight

the harness that comes with the bulbs didnt work for mine the voltage was off and the connection to the oem harness was way off...my high beams never worked with lamps on or off. So my shop tested voltage on and off high beam and made a custom harness to make the high beams work with the lights on and off.

finally bit the bullet and ordered the ddm tuning HID light kits with error code eliminators, but didnt need the error code eliminators at all..ordered the 35watts in both got the h13 bi-light kit with the highbeams in one, and works headlights work like a charm, and fogs have to flip the plugs for reverse polarity....but work great! so much more clear! Rene is pretty complete for time-being!
