Check out Jeep's website for the 2012 concept Grand Cherokee, it's got the Arctic theme and more...Chrome won't get you home, it will just blind the rest of us on sunny days :ROTFL: . Glad to see the after market mods are catching the public's mainsteam eye...Now just imagine this concept Grand with a ARB Bullbar, Warn winch, Pro Comp Alloys, lifted with some MTs, roof rack and light bar 8) ...Get a chance to win one if you come up with a clever theme name, WOOT...

I wonder if they'd ever sell a flat black / line-x'ed wrangler? Maybe the CoD MW4 edition . . . .

I thought "Obsidian" was going to win for sure, black and Indian arrowheads go best with the Cherokee theme IMO. Must of been all the flat-landers voting for "altitude" Somebody out there is a lucky winner.

What's the deal with this whole thing? Are they actually going to have it as a production trim level now?

I like "Attitude" better than "Altitude" but can you imagine going into the service department and saying "Hi, I have an attitude. "?
Or even worse "Hi, I have a problem with my Attitude." Someone could get their butt kicked.

Back in January Jeep has announced the Grand Cherokee Concept Special Edition next to a "Name My Ride" contest. And as a thank you gift for all the fans that have entered their name for the model - more more than 100,000 entries from enthusiasts of the Jeep brand – which boasts more than 2 million Facebook fans, Jeep has now unveiled the production version of the concept - Grand Cherokee Altitude - the winning name.

This special edition will be distinguished by a grille surround painted in black gloss combined with platinum chrome used for the mesh grille and lower fascia applique. The headlamp bezels and the liftgate light is also painted in black, while the car sits on 20" tires that surround black-gloss aluminum wheels.

The list of standard equipment is quite long and includes among others: standard leather-trimmed seats, heated front seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, a 9-speaker 506-watt amp sound system with subwoofer, iPod/MP3 connectivity, Parkview™ rear back-up camera, ParkSense® rear-park assist system and Keyless Enter-N-Go.

The new vehicle will arrive at Jeep dealers this May and will be priced from $35,595 for 4x2 models and $37,595 for 4x4 models.

They look nice except for those tires and rims. They look like street Jeeps. I understand that not everyone who buys a jeep wants to go offroading, but at least maintain some heritage. Besides that I like the blacked out look.

IMO the WK2s are street Jeeps. I think they're the only Jeeps that are "too nice" to take off road. I would certainly drive one around everyday though, and just beat the hell out of the KK

I've heard that about my KK. They said that they'd take a Liberty offroad, but not my specific Lib. It just looked too good and too new.

Got it muddy about 15 minutes later. :)

I've actually heard that too. I just think that Jeep is designing the WK2 to compete more with SUVs from Lexus and Acura than full size ones from Ford, Honda, etc. I was in my supervisors Overland and it was luxurious.
