So went wheeling, broke the front steering gear awaiting delivery tomorrow am at the stealer just wondering if anyone else had this issue?

Only rash at this point is the front right wheel with some minor 1/2 marring

no body damage.

Had fun but probably wont take this KK to this extent any longer mud/ dirt sand yes but rocks ill probably stay away from.

Was it the steering rack?
Did they cover it under warranty?

They shouldn't have,it's not a manufacture defect if it breaks while offroading, more so if lifted as it places the inner tie rods at a extreme angle that puts alot more stress on the R&P.

Marketing hype,If you look at the wheeling they show you can take a pruis through.Crawling on rocks your on your own for buying the parts you break.

There was a long thread a few months back with a idiot with a brand new JK,had it less then 2 weeks and hydro locked the engine puddle bashing.Warranty did not cover it which the owner was pissed about but when the service manager found the youtube vid that the owner posted it was game over for warranty. His insurance bought him a new engine.

I strongly sense sarcasm taken seriously.

Your 2012 broke already?!? Ugh..

Through the forum I've seen a 3 or 4 steering racks break their passenger side mount on lifted and wheeled Jeeps, not often enough that I'd say it's common though.

Here's the non-factory, but better instructions to replace the rack that I came up with.
