I am using some spare parts I had from the vehicles I trades for my Liberty.

I hope to use this design from my kayak.

The bars are from my car topper and the clamps are my old truck topper clamps.

I secured the mock up with sq u bolts. Any thoughts or concerns?

Not yet. I was trying a mock up. I would probably double up the flat piece of the u bolt

Is it just cross bars you're making? Looks good so far, i'd paint those brackets.
