Anyone know a good source for the fan bracket (05142661AB) and accessory idler pulley (05066938AA)?

In the last stages of buttoning things up after top-end / timing belt job and the bearings in those two make me nervous... Looking around, I've only found one place that carries the part: http://www.factorychryslerparts.com.

$214 for the fan bracket and $89 for the idler.

Figured someone here might have a favorite spot...

Thanks - Mark

Don't know about the fan bracket but you can always pick up the idler pulley from RockAuto for $14. If you believe their catalogue this idler seems to be used on a number of other Chrysler vehicles. If you look at the 2000 Grand Caravan, for example, you'll see this same idler listed along with a number of other better known aftermarket alternatives.

Of course, OTOH, if you look at the thermostat housing they're trying to sell for our vehicle, you'll realise this is all a huge unknown but may be worth looking into. I wouldn't be at all surprised if that idler pulley is indeed coming from another Chrysler application.

Accessory idler pulleys (05066938AA) may be replaced by NAPA 36101 or Precision Parts EP101, if either of those come with a big washer just throw that in your spare washer bin.

If you google "5142661AB" for the fan bracket a bunch of places list it for sale at a quick glance moparpartsamerica.com has it for $155

I think I had a space in the part number during the search last night - and have had a little more luck finding it today. Best price I found for the fan bracket was $145 at We R Mopar: http://www.wermopar.com/ FYI

I have a couple of the idlers on order w/NAPA for $19.99 ea. - they'll be in this afternoon.

O'Reilly doesn't have them in stock normally and take a bit longer to get them.

Thanks everyone,

Mark
