Is this the correct part# for the OEM CAC hose #55038729AA. The discription it gives on Mopar Parts is Hose Charge Air Cool for $140. This seems alot for the hose. Part# 55037730AD says "intercooler hose Liberty Outlet" for $97.23. There is another hose that says "intercooler hose Liberty Inlet" for $48.56 but it dosent give a part#.

Thanks
James

My parts notes from past forum posts have intercooler - turbo side 55038729AA and intercooler - intake side 55037730AD.

However, IMH and somewhat biased opinion for the price I'd get Samcos from Boost Controller (http://www.boostcontroller.com/index.php?category=328) and never worry about them again.

What are most people doing about the clamps?

Reusing the original ones or going with one of the two options from Boost Controller?

I bought the bigger clamps from boostcontroler, and they fit fine. IF there to wide, just file down the notch a little bit. Mine fit fine, and I didn't have to modify any thing. The samco clamps were out of stock.

The main feature of OEM and BoostController sourced clamps as opposed to standard stainless worm clamps from the local hardware or parts store is both OEM and BC clamps have a smooth inner surface so they won't cut into the hose. I got BC sourced clamps for what that's worth.

I just looked at my OEM clamps and it looks like the big ones will work ok (e.g. they open wide enough to get over the hose mounted on the intercooler outlet on driver's side) but I'm not at all sure the OEM smaller clamps will open that far based on a measurement without trying to pull my Samco's to check.

The OEM boost hose clamps do work with the Samco hoses. The OEM clamps are actually very high quality and having them slightly thinner helps to ensure you apply clamping force just after the retention ring. One must be careful with the larger clamps not to clamp on top of retention ring (on each surface where boost hose is attached), if so it could allow slipage over time and potenial for hose to pop off.
