(5) I'm going in August this year. Research shows that the seasonal, lesser used roads will be open and my credit cards are doing 5% cash back on gas purchases July-Sept.
I would be interested in a July-August trip. If I were to pick my three weeks, I would choose the last two weeks in July and the 1st week in August.

(6) With enough lead time, we could make any of those years happen.
Would you be willing to do the trip again in 2014? That would be exactly two years from when you last did the trip.

(7) This year I will be car camping as it will be the easiest most cost effective way.
I could be wrong, but I would think that most people who are interested in this type of trip would prefer car camping. I can honestly say that the best feature about RV/car camping is the convenience and the ability to camp in solitude and near streams, etc. Sometimes we use the camper as a base camp and go tent camping off the beaten path.

(8) Rip the DVDs to MP4, private file transfer to interested parties?
I’ll see what I can do.

(9) This year I'm trying to not drive the same road twice as much as possible. This also means that I'll be taking a few single lane gravel highways where recommended top speeds are 35-40 mph.
That's a good idea. From what I've read, the roads have improved a lot in the last few years, so maybe there are more and more roads that are open, accessible, or improved.

(10) If we're in Eugene, it only seats two. Grumpy can seat five, sleep two currently.
Would you also be taking your dogs? Since this would be at least a 3 week trip, we’ll be taking our two dogs with us.
