The NY state beaches opened on April 1st and we got a gathering of the NE chapter together to drop the lines and get some sand wheeling in. Nothing much to catch, but was a good time!

NC Beachs stay open year round. What tire pressure you run up north? My first day out a dropped down to about 18. Took awhile to air up before driving home. I found 23psi does pretty good and I can drive home (about 6 miles) without airing back up.
This is Freeman Park, north end of Carolina Beach, last week dinner on the beach for my wife's birthday.

Nice looking KK.

Most of us air down to 18psi. During the summer time with more traffic the sand gets pretty soft out there so I found that my sweet spot for any beach condition in my area is 18psi. This beach has an airing up station where you can just connect your own hose to air up.

But for other beaches that don't have an air station we carry one of these around to air up. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000L9AD2U/ref ... wo=&hvqmt=

This one connects straight to the battery and is a lot faster then the cig lighter.

Thanks VMKJCRD.
Yeah, I got the Harbor Freight version:

I think I got it on sale and with a coupon for about $30.
Getting on and off the beach is really soft with deep ruts. And the road is at the end of a residential area, no "official" area to pull over and air up.
