Anyone tried this product:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EOBD-1260-ECU ... 46020bcca1

It specifically lists the following vehicles:

Jeep Cherokee 2.5 CRD
Jeep Cherokee 2.8 CRD

I wonder if it could be used to flash a tune purchased from GDE?

I asked something similar a few years ago before GDE:
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=47910

Patracy said his Galletto clone didn't work out of the box.

Thanks, I should have searched rather than relying on my memory . It sounds like there may be a S/W difference between the Euro and NA versions but since the Alientech programmer can handle both versions and the GDE tune has been applied on both sides of the pond using that programmer one would assume that the differences are not that great. It may simply be failing on information such as VIN or calibration ID.

I think I may have to invest the $20 and do a bit more investigation.

The exchange will run you about $34 Canadian from Pound Sterling.
Check with the distributor to see if the software provides for:
Cherokee 2800 CRD 163HP

I think that this is what works for our Libertys with the Alientech. You will need to confirm this though.

Don't waste your money with this product. I checked my old notes and I don't think that it can do our ECUs.

I noted that a EDC16 (by CMD) had an option for EDC16C-C2. There are a lot of cheap clones to try. Look for version 3.1.0.1244a or greater.
