Beware, most Jeep 15" rims don't clear the front calipers on a KJ...

31x10.5x15 do look cool btw...(15x7 rim)

cast 15" won't clear - but the steel (Craiger soft 8's) should

Also another thing, I have air bags on the back. they are almost completely deflated now. I can raise it up an inch or so just with that. Does that help with the rear clearance issue any?

I followed TonyCRD advise when I set up my KJ CRD and it works very well, allthough I have OME shocks and not Koni ( maybe in the future).

Really? That is the ugliest front bumper I have ever seen... Sorry to say so. The rear bumper is tha bomb but the front one? :?

i love it. i HATE how the ARB looks. it's gigantic and bulky and just doesn't look good IMHO. i wanted a steel bumpers that gives better clearance and strength, as well as front tow points. plus the ARB is retardedly over priced.

So I went with smaller tires.... For now. I am, however, keeping the bfg km's for now in hopes of getting them to fit properly in the future. The 245/75/16 duratracs look nice but small. I did get the new OME 790's ordered. I am going to replace those, 86 the daystar spacers that are on there, and maybe do some top plate spacing. Over the next year or so I am goingt to buy the a arms, upgraded cv joints and I think regear the chrysler 8.25. Then, hopefully, I will be able to lift it up to about 4-5". We shall see. Thanks for all the help guys.

I don't think they look small, but then again I have 225/75/16 DuraTracs on mine and I'm trying to talk myself out of spending the money on 245s... :juggle:

I got them off craigslist from a guy for 400 with the rims. They have about 7k miles on them but are in great shape and not worn at all really.

I will say be careful from craigslist though. A lot of people are trying to sell beat up or almost worn out tires on there. And a lot are really cheap. Like I was seeing mt/r's and other similar tires that were like 75% worn for 100-200 for all 4. Seems like a good deal. Until you get a blow out from a almost worn out tire that has been really beat up.

I got my 790's in the other day. Went to put the on the libby and realized my ranchos were shot. so I replaced them with the OME NS131's. My question is, I removed the daystar spacer (1.5"), replaced the rancho's, and replaced the 927's with 790's; So why is my jeep sitting 2" higher than it was before? I digured it would sit about the same. I know the old springs were sagging so I knew it would bring it up some. I thought that removing the daystar would would make it sit about the same. Did the new struts lift it a little too? Or was it really causing it to sag that much?

My guess would be that with the weight of the CRD, the ARB bumper, and the daystar those old springs were very sagged. The new shocks shouldn't cause any lift unless you did a 3/8ths clevis lift too.

I pulled a Daystar 2 1/2" - put on OME 790's - and I was exactly the same....

the originals had sagged that much.
