Weird transmission problem

I have a 06 crd with 120000 miles. I noticed today that if your cruising at any speed and floor it, it revs up to about 3000 rpm and acts like it has a limiter like losing power and won't shift. Please help what's wrong. Thanks

It may be a partially clogged fuel filter not able to supply enough fuel to the high pressure pump during peak demand. I would replace the fuel filter if it hasn't already been done.

Old deteriorated tranny fluid slows the movements of gears and the use of non OEM specified tranny fluid has been the cause of transmission problems ..... sluggish gear shifting.

Have you performed the scheduled transmission service at 120,000 miles with new filters and new ATF4 fluid?

I would start there.

Not on point but can we assume at 120K you have already done the timing belt change that was due at 100K

Yes. It was done at 90000 miles
