Title says it all mostly. I purchased my 2005 Jeep Liberty Limited used back in Feb, it started the clunking a couple weeks after I bought it. It sounds like the suspension clunking but I really have no idea. Only clunks going over bumps/dips and only when the weather is cold (Below 45 or so).

I'm not very mechanical, and this is my first vehicle. It's stock with 86k miles on it. Is there anything I should be worried about? If it's going to be a major fix ( more than $1500) I would probably sell it/trade it for something else. Honestly I'm pretty disappointed that it's already having problems.

Thank you for all your input/advice, in advance!

lol i have a 06 and it too clunks..... mine is a bad sway bar bushing..... $11.99, it could be a number of thing under the front but nothing amounting to $1500 thats highly doubtful... i would look under it and see if you can find any bushing thats are severly cracked or smushed.... pics of it would also help out greatly

Spray the swar bar bushings with Silicon lube - or get hardcore and add grease zerks

(Silicon based lube - dino based will degrade the bushings even more)
