Noticed two of my valve stem caps were missing on my tires. My first thought: who would steal valve stem caps? On second thought, I checked the remaining two and they were loose. The garage must not have tightened them properly when they rotated my tires before my trip two weeks ago. I called the local Jeep dealership, and a bag of 5 OEM metal caps... Drum roll, please... $45.00!!!!! :ROTFL: I went to Advance Auto Parts and found a bag of four very nice chrome caps for $2.69. :goink:

Sorry about your gearbox trouble. I hope she's not too ferocious to your debit card.

The factory caps have seals for the tire pressure sensors, just to let you know if you did not already.

With that said, uh, my dealership gives away the correct caps for free if one is missing...

Maybe he stole 1 of those Viper 6 speeds and found a way to mount a tcase to it and the whole setup to the 3.7  Better yet, he could make a SRT-10 Liberty....

Btw I really like that color blue... and I think those look better then the new gen SRT Viper.

The more I look at the new Viper, the more I start liking it. When I first saw the pics, I just didn't........ no... I hated it.

But it has begun to grow on me. I can't wait until I see it in person.

Yeah its pretty sick now. Now that Chrysler actually has the money to fund a sports car venture its going in the right direction. I have pics from the NY auto show that I should probably post.

Side note the first gen viper transmissions were notorious for being finnicky. Scratch up the gears a few times and they are done and not cheap.

I think the new Viper looks a little too Italian for an American sports car. It's mostly with the front bumper/grill and light combo. It just reminds me too much of a Ferrari.

If you wanna see what I mean, take a look at the 599 and a little bit of the 612. Both are very similar to the Viper front end. I think it took styling cues from Ferraris. But then again, Chrysler is owned by Fiat, as is Ferrari so I guess it makes sense to say "Hey Ferrari is 1 of the best known sports car manufactures in the world. Let's put a few designers on the Viper project."

If you look closely at a Viper's head, you'll see where the design came from. This is the first Viper which truly looks like a Viper.

Thanks, I didn't know that. My tire pressure sensors have not registered a light on the dash, and the pressure, which I measured by hand, was still fine in all 4 tires. I'll keep an eye on it and let you know if I have any issues running the aftermarket caps.

Pulled the bumper, stripped the paint, fixed a few blemishes that were bugging me, and bedlined it. I like that rattle can "truck bed coating" by Duplicolor.

And welded some nutserts on it for the next project...
