You probably have a leak somewhere,or maybe just need to refill, but most of time, when it shoots warm air,the system have a leak,do you hear the compressor engage?

Best for you is to go and get it checked, they will put the pressure on the system and check the compressor for proper operation..

That's one possible solution but if so the reason for the loss of coolant needs to be solved first. There are other possible causes.

Best find a good AC repair shop. FYI this is an AC issue not a CRD issue so experience on ACs is important not experience on CRDs.

There is an "intake" on the passenger side floorboard area that can get clogged (mine did with dog hair) that will cause a noticeable decline in cooling. I need to check mine again

I have never heard of this "intake" before...is this something new that came out with the 2006 model?

I always thought that the cabin air got pulled in from below the windscreen on the RHS and no Cabin Filter was existant or is this an internal filter used with re-circulation? :?

My 2002 CRD has not had any issues yet with the AC and it gets used a lot here where I live. :)
