Did it look like this? And was it smoking pretty badly?
If so, that's me.

Spotted a red crd near the Salvation Army parking lot in Sierra Vista, AZ today. Saw a green crd about two weeks ago on highway 92, between Bisbee and Sierra Vista.

I saw it in the link you gave. Very cool. Not many folks in the US recognise that CRD means diesel. I have a turbo diesel badge from a Hyundai Santa Fe which I got down here and I'm going to put that under the CRD badge on ours.

One of the guys I grew up with in Boulder is brewing his own diesel now. I hope to do that when I get back to Santa Fe. I may need a tire cover like yours then.

I didn't even know Hyundai made a diesel. But I'll save it for you.

Yep they do make a diesel.... one of the many diesels we don't see in the US. I used to have Subaru's and would have loved to get a Forester with the Boxer Diesel engine but they won't bring it here. oh well I found a diesel suv i love

Right. I love the crd. Honestly hate the liberty. Never liked the way they looked. My step mom used to have one and I would always rag her about it. LOVE the crd though. Short of spending 30k+ it's the only way to go.

I like the look of the KJ much better than the KK.

I agree with you, however the KJ is growing on me... the KK is not. I bought the car solely because of the engine and for no other reason. If I could get a diesel in a Toyota in the US I would have happily gone there.

The Hyundai makes a very nice diesel for their entire range. I rented a Santa Fe CRD recently on a buisiness trip and was very impressed. Our good friends down here have a Forester with teh boxer diesel and it is also very impressive. They have put nearly 60,000 miles on their so far and have not done a thing to it (I doubt they have even changed the oil as Aussies are not much for regular service).

The Honda CRV CRD is also highly rated down here. Personally I can't see the point of AWD down here but it sells like beer at the cricket. Why Aussies think they need AWD on dry pavement in 120 degrees is beyond me.

The Chinese also sell a nice DI turbo diesel four door pickup down here called a Great Wall. It is based on the Chevy Colorado body before the current one and comes with a 6 speed manual.

Me too. When I see the cute little 3.7 on the tailgate I think 'why would you?'. I guess I'm a Liberty snob :ROTFL:

Caught one in the wild! A white Limited on the SC 30 bridge in Charleston, Sc. Got a chance to talk to the owner, he is at 88k and I'm the first other CRD he has ever seen.

Says his CRD was bought in Texas, previous owner told him it was imported from overseas... Lol. At least he knew already that it has a belt due soon. Great guy, I invited him on here of course.
