Rear lift gate latch doesn't release anymore. The electric releases on the doors will not release the rear lift gate latch. Only the button on the key works now. The dealer says there is a module that controls this which cost $89 to $140 depending on which one is needed.
Has anyone had experience with this?
Is there an after market replacement? If so where does it go :?:

Mine does the same ... :x annoying when the engine has to be stopped and started, and keys removed from ignition just to open the back if you want to pop something in or out of there!! ...

I experienced the same thing with mine and it lasted for about a month, it cured itself before I did any work to it.

Pull the plastic back off and check that all's well with the elecrical connections.

use this recall part #
its just the switch instead of the wholle rear handle.
