If you don't like RL and would never buy any of his products anyways then :?:
As far as quality
Having bought bumpers and other 4 wheel drive items over the last 38 years ( longer than most on here have been alive) RLs quality is as good if not way better than anything I have ever bought

Now can we move on with life
if you want something buy it
if you don't :ALONE:

i've always had good luck with rocklizard. not the fastest... but always held true to his word... and always came through with outstanding products. sure i had to enlarge a few holes to make my roof rack fit but i expect that with aftermarket. custom products. after all my KJ wasnt there to test fit.. and the rack isn't made out of paper.

plus all his stuff looks awesome.. and is strong as an ox

Its amazing how people come out of the woodwork simply to show their booty and insult someone and their work. Maybe when you start producing things for us you can talk about others practices but at this point you have no idea what kind of work goes into his products. I like how no one bashes JCR anymore even though they had a product that did not install as it should have and they refused to admit that. If you're going to call out Marty for his practices you should be fair and do it to everyone.

It's almost theft. I've seen a local one of his so called products. A soldered together mess. He takes forever to. Make half booty products. At this point just about any other bumper company is better. Atleast they won't have you wait a year after you paid, using your money to fund some stupid sfa kit

You notice the people causing the biggest stink have never dealt with Marty nor will ever buy anything from him
But some will cross the street just to kick someone after they have been tripped and beat down. Makes them feel all powerful and more like a he man.

Agree , I tried emails and calling to offer suggestions to JCR and never got one response to their carppy way of making their front mounts on the rock rails
Other wise they have a good product but that one issue is enough to make them subpar

You know just as well as I do it isn't right. If you go to a grocery store and spend 500 bucks and they say you'll ha even your food at your house by Saturday, and it doesn't show up till Christmas and it's all rotted, would you be happy? I know enough people getting messed over by this guy. No matter what if your running a business there are standards to keep up.

Well...... A picture is worth a thousand words.
I feel like it is an established and agreed upon fact that he takes a long time, even after receiving payment, to get the products delivered. Seems no one argues with that(which alone IS a horrible business practice), however, what seems to be in question is if the products are worth the wait and money when they do arrive. So lets see pics. Of both the claimed faulty "soldered mess" and the great products talked about by tommudd.

Please.

Hate to put a friends jeep on blast. Look closely by the turn signal. I honestly would have asked for my money back if I got a product thrown together like this

First he only made a few of those and has since changed the design a LOT
Second it was made to mount on early and later model KJs
Third anyone with 10 minutes of time could weld it solid if that is what you wanted
Fourth
ah heck some would claim there is too much peanut butter on their sandwich :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL:

Look closely at EVERY weld on mine PERFECT!!!

I have a set of JCR Stage 3 rock rails. Just installed them a couple of months ago.
I had zero problems with the install. The only difficult part was wrestling them into place by myself to mark the
holes on the sub frame. BTW.... I have all 4 bolts in on the front mount, but did have a "hole" very close to one of the rear bolts on my sub frame, so I left it out.

I made my own template for the pinch weld from a strip of wood I had laying around in the garage.

To be honest, it was more of a chore to install my ARB bumper than the rock rails.

Although that doesn't look like it would be a major structural defect considering where it is on the bumper, but why not weld it all the way as opposed to just tacking it in a few places? Are all the welds just tacks like that or lower is it fully done?
