If I have a front lunchbox locker, will it only work (aka pop) when I'm in 4x4 or all the time?
For how much it's going to cost to install a lunchbox locker in the front might as well install something good like a DTT or ARB for a little more $$$ as the install labor will be the same.
The front D30A cross pin is held in place with a roll pin(as seen in the pic below),not a bolt like a normal D30,so the whole carrier has to be removed to install a lunchbox locker, which also means the whole diff has to be removed and the backlash reset.

The above is a D30A carrier for a '05 KJ's D30A that I bought new from the dealership and installed a DTT.
