Check engine light came on today codes read P0069 and P0299. P0069 stated that the boost pressure is not within calibrated range from the inlet air pressure. And p0299 stated that the ECM has determined that the boost pressure is lower than the expected boost pressure. I did hear the turbo winding a lot and oil coming from the turbo inlet where the samco hose meets i retightened the hose still smokes a idle and acceleration. I just recieved the green diesel engineering eco flash but did not install it till i find out what the CEL is all about. liberty has 103,500 on it with the timing belt service completed at 100,000. Any input would be appreciated thanks

Check the melted vacuum line post at viewtopic.php?f=5&t=61240 and you might want to check the function of your boost pressure solenoid.

Install the tune and those problems will most likely go away. If they do not, then we can look into hardware problems. If you do not have an air leak, the underboost is related to EGR performance and will go away. The tune also opens up the tolerance a bit for P0069, so if it comes back with the tune installed, then your MAP sensor has drifted too much and would need to be replaced.

I think I have my spare (new) Map sensor from when I threw a p0069 if yours turns out to be defective.

Thanks everyone, I'm gonna install the tune tomorrow and also replace the map sensor. I took it out last week to clean it and maybe I damaged it, the jeep dealership said it doesn't have a map sensor in the diesel LOL

The dealer is not a complete idiot as the MAP sensor (back top of engine under wiring harness) old # 5140331AA new # 68031593AA (alternative Bosch 0 281 002 437) is called the air temperature/boost pressure sensor in parts manual.
