Hello,

sorry if this is a bad question, but my jeep will be at the dealer on next tuesday for the L27 recall, and i was wondering if i must di something about my GDE eco tune. Does the L27 has something to do with the computer? Is there a risk of losing my tune?

thanks!

Lower control arm recall for vehicles in "salted" road areas.

They shouldn't need to touch your electronics although I'd be inclined to write on the work order that they are not authorized to interface with any of your car's computer systems without your written permission.

So the L27 recall is also applied in Canada as well? Will have to take an appointment, then... About the tune, as papaindigo said, they should not touch it without your approval. Just make d..n sure they understand this very well  ; I sure will make my point clearly understood when time comes!

If you feel like going a little over board (as did I) you can unscrew your OBDII port, wrap many wraps of electrical tape around and across it, and tuck it neatly up inside the backside of the dash. If anyone thought about plugging into it and for some reason missed my large lettered "notes" on the dash I sure wanted to make it difficult to find. No problem resulted.

Hmmm, I didn't think so but I guess I'll have to look into it now. Maybe only for certain vintages.
