New lower ball joints they were pretty bad so I changed the upper control arms I used moab parts that have the grease fittings on the lower ball joint. I was probably not worth the time or money to change the upper but I did it anyway.

I went and looked a an 06 sport for sale just like mine except that it was silver. Needed a thermostat and lower ball joints and the check engine light was on. And he highballed be on the price because I called on the ad the first day it was out. I said, these are the things that are wrong with it, "no thanks". I must say that the steering was tighter than mine.

I just went through changing all 4 glow plugs this weekend. I had the dreaded 1265 code. I went the metal tipped 7V way. No reflash of ECM! Everything works like everyone here said it would except the part about it being a 3 hr job. I studied all the posts before tackling it but it is gratifying to know I could do something like that myself. I could not have done it without you guys! One thing I found that I did not read about was that the intake elbow was full of the worst black smear you could ever get on your hands. I did the EHM as soon as I got the truck but it had 28,000 miles on it. Switched to the pro-vent about a year later. If anybody is still out there running their tractor without doing the EHM or some type of CCV oil separator, you are choking the breath from your 2.8 CRD plain and simple. I would hate to see what one with 75,000 miles looked like. That black sooty goo will be weeks coming out of the skin on my hands.

Installed hockey Puck magnet type discs on the rear axle bcause couldn't see getting a drill in there and now my tires have quit fighting my flares...

Stole the factory snorkel from my son's tj and installed into an abbreviated factory intake adapter which then snapped right back into factory airbox. Now can keep my dunking appointment in the nearby creek.

Finished ARB bumper and the Euro TC (did the TC a few weeks ago actually)

I have some IPF lights in the mail.

Next up is finishing EVIC wiring and GDE Hot and TCM tunes :)

Oh and my rear tail light assembly got replaced. the heat shield on the brake light separated and kept blowing bulbs. I couldn't get it (the heat shield) out so I just replaced the whole assembly.

Changed my oil, cleaned my MAP sensor and washed it. When I changed the oil I used the larger Wix oil filter 51773 and boy is that thing HUGE! Tire rotation in the next week.

And finally I calculated my MPG this last fill up and I hit 25! First time to hit that high of a number.

I spent the last 3 days getting caught up on overdue maintenance.

1. Changed timing belt
2. flushed cooling system
3. installed in-line thermostat, 195 deg
4. changed engine oil
5. changed rear diff oil
6. changed front diff oil
7. replaced damaged front bumper

I did not replace the water pump because I did not not want to remove the cam sprockets.
Hopefully this desicion will not come back to haunt me too soon.
I also did not reinstall the engine fan and clutch. I just wanted to see how well it performed
without it. So far its doing great. No overheating.

Dave

Rebuilt my rear parking brake levers, replaced rear disc drums, replaced back shocks, installed new pads and shoes. I used a screwdriver to prtially pry back the return springs then tie wired them compressed for easy removal and reinstallation. I ordered the new spring kit, but it wasn't in yet. Napa called, so I will pop the back wheels off one more time and stick them in tomorrow.
