All, I am starting to see an issue with my 2008 AT KK:

I insert the key and turn the key to start, the dash lights up, but it doesn't turn over (battery is fine). If I release the key back to run position and turn to start it again, then it will turn over, start and run. Happens every 5 to 10 starts...

I searched the threads for anyone else having this issue, but not seeing anything that resembles.

Haven't had a chance to dig into it, but wondering if it could be:
- A key problem (is here any sort of electronic anti theft signal between the key and vehicle)?
- Park switch?

I had a similiar problem with my TJ, but that was the ignition pin...

Has anyone run into this?

Thanks.

This is the first I've heard of this issue, not that that means anything lol, but it could be the electronics in the key. Do you have a spare key? I would try a different key and see if you still have the problem. If you do then you can rule out the key and it could be something in the switch. If your spare key works fine then it could be a dying battery in your other key or just bad key.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Since both your keys are doing it, it's defintly something with the ignition system. Let us know what you find.
