Need help.
1st - My upper control arm on the driver's side snapped in two yesterday. I was lucky in that there was a Wrnagler next to me with two toddlers in the back seat. We went over RR tracks with a little bump to it and BAM! Broke and I suddenly felt an instant force to swerve left into the Wrangler. I wa able to get my KJ under control and pull over. Tow truck took me and my KJ home. I had the prototype lift and arms so don't worry if you have the same lift.

2nd - Marlin is awesome. He is sending me new ones to replace these prototypes...already shipped.

3rd - HELP! I got the front mounting bolt removed, but......How in the world do you get to the rear mounting bolt and nut? The steering arm is in the way and so is a powersteering box with tubes coming and going from it, in the way. Any suggestions from experienced people?

4th - Anyone in the Colorado area willing to come over for FREE pizza and brews to provide some of their muscle? I am recovering from other injuries and do not have full strength in my right hand and my left shoulder. Hard to crank any torque on wrenches/sockets. FREE pizza and brews! Free pizza and Brews!
:5SHOTS:  :pepper: :SOMBRERO:

Thanks!

2 10" extensions and swivel sockets to get to the rear bolts. Air ratchet is awesome if you access to them.

You may also have to remove some accessories and miscellaneous lines. It is definitely a job for the intrepid.

Glad to hear that nobody got hurt.

Talk nice to Tjkj and convince him to drive up from the Springs.......

he can change Control arms on Moab trails.....

with the tools he carries in the back (of course that's most of a shop)

No air ratchet......would an impact wrench be too much?

Prototype arms? Are they to replace the JbA gen 4.5?

And well done avoiding the collision - good driving. I'm glad no-one was hurt.

When I did mine I unbolted the steering shaft and pushed it away. You'll see two smaller bolts kinda down to right of the bump stop if you're looking at the bump stop. The 2 bolts are 10 or 13mm.
