Hi all. Well I picked up a used 2011 KK with 12k on the clock that was traded in at Volvo dealer. Once I got it home and into the garage I thought It didn’t sound right, kind of a tick sound from under the jeep. I found the Jeep dealership it came from took it there
They said it was normal exhaust pulse from the cats. I had a long conversation with the tech that seemed very knowledgeable. I did not let him know my experience in the past with building race engines just to see if he would throw me any bs. Well I was not satisfied so I took it to another jeep dealer who told me the same thing. The next day
The CEL comes on so I get a code reader and get the P0325 Knock sensor 1 bank 1.
I call the Jeep dealer it was originally purchased from and they said the work is covered under Chrysler’s warranty.
My question is did I do the right ting taking it to the Jeep dealer or should I have taken it back to the Volvo dealership?

Volvo is volvo. They are prolly going to tell you to take it to Chrysler/ Jeep. If the Jeep gives you crud about it not having been bought there then go to volvo and have them foot the bill.

Yea, I just hate anyone wrenching on my vehicles but working a 60hr work week gives me no time to take the intake manifold off to replace the sensor if needed plus its covered so I'll let them do the work.

Fixed. Replaced knock sensor. The thing is under the intake manifold.
