That ad had all my scam alerts going off like crazy.

Badly written in English - Ok, the company says they are located in Italy... Yet the auction listing says they are located in the USA? Doesn't compute.
Company name includes a GERMAN website address, instead of a .it Italian one? Doesn't compute.
Massive amounts of stock clipart type images and flashiness... Almost always a dead giveaway to a scammer trying too hard to look legit. Way too much sizzle, not enough steak.
Dubious claims or barely-understandable claims about the results... And they didn't even apply to the vehicle the auction was listed about! They showed some random track with a picture of a VW and some performance numbers... Were those numbers before or after the tune? What about the OTHER numbers then? Also doesn't compute.

The tuning box doesn't appear to have any name on it at all (other than a bad photoshop) which makes me think that while the outside might LOOK like Keith's Alientech programmer... It could just as easily be a cheap chinese knockoff. Don't forget, plastic molding is cheap, and the chinese will copy ANYTHING to make a buck scamming someone.

Red Alert warnings abound with this one... I wouldn't suggest anyone give them any money, you never know if what they offer will do nothing (most likely) or seriously damage your vehicle.

The Alientech box is used by many aftermarket tuning businesses and not exclusive to GDE, so that in itself is not an indication of a rip off. It is good that there is competition emerging, so let's see what they can clain as results.

research the company....

the quickest, easiest way to make power on a diesel - is to put a resistor in a sensor line
it fools the computer into thinking a pressure is low - so it increases it

makes a lot more power

until it dies...........

Thing I see is that they only have 13 for feedback. Although they have 100% positive, I wouldn't buy something like this from someone not proven.

Heh... Our engine is certainly capable of producing 500hp and 500lb-ft of torque with the right setup too...... Once.

The question is, would it get to the end of the track before it blew?

Cheater chips are just ASKING for a severe problem, the computer has safety limits in the program for a reason.
