I get too many people asking when Jeep Re-Released the Cherokee. I also want to shake the "my 17 year old sister drives a Liberty... I thought they were chick Jeeps." stigma until people actually see them.

I really would like to get this in chrome.

The Cherokee moldings in black, and some clear side markers would make my KK very happy!

Someone has to have a friend, who knows a friend, who lives across the street from a friend, who has a connection over seas?

What really bugs me, are that the parts are made HERE! And then shipped out of the country!

I was able to buy a Europe only license plate bracket plug for my JK right from my local dealer, I just gave him the part number, and he had it the next day.

I tried the same thing with the clear side markers, gave him the part number, he was looking at it in the computer, but he said that he couldn't order it :furious:

I looked at that parts website and took the part numbers to my local dealer (LUKE in PHX) and the parts guy could see the numbers in the system but could not order.

I went ahead and ordered them up from the Chryslerparts website last night.
So we'll see what shows up.

That sucks!

I spoke to my parts guy today, and gave him the part numbers, same deal: "I can see the parts in the computer, but the say export, so I can't order them"

SO........ We need to figure a few things out....

1)What LOST member lives in the closest country, where the Liberty is badged as a Cherokee

(and is willing to buy, and ship a bunch of parts)

2)How many of us want export parts (mouldings, and side markers) anything else?

3)What we have to offer this potential foreign liaison of jeep unobtainium?

4)The best way to transfer some funds, that would make all parties involved, confident, and comfortable?

So, what do you guys think? Maybe one of the moderators could post a thread asking for a volunteer?

This site is where I got mine through an Ebay auction. They post them up every once in a while for cheaper than the price on the site. They only show chrome. But, can get the black ones for I think it was $50 cheaper.
