Thanks, I think I have the most, or maybe even the only modded KK in San Antonio. Whenever I called dealerships to get pricing info on the speedo recalibration and head light alignment they usually respond with, "Why do you need you speedometer calibrated and head lights re-aligned?" I respond, "I lifted it and put larger tires on it." They're reaction usually goes along the lines of, "What do you mean you lifted it, nobody lifts a liberty  " It cracks me up to hear there reactions. :ROTFL:

Sadly that'll probably be my last new thing I get until Christmas, my wife :furious: doesn't appreciate all the mods like I do. I'm looking to get a rear diff cover and some longer billstiens on the rear for Christmas. I need to hurry up and finish school so I can make more money to (as my wife puts it) "waste." I can't wait to get a good suspension lift, I really want the JBA 4" but I'm going to hold out until I graduate.

Headlights are super easy to aim, look in the tech section for a write up by Diggerfreek. I didn't do all the tape and measuring stuff, just turned em downward a little at a time till i was happy and people stopped flashing me.

My KK had a date with the mechanic today.
- lower ball joints
- rotors and pads
- brake fluid flush
- anti-rattle clip for one of the rear brakes
- alignment
- oil change, filter, and tire rotation

I know I could do some of these things myself but I don't have the time with my job and other responsibilities. I guess time and money are interchangeable. :dizzy:

I use brake check's life time alignment. It's like $150 for the first one but only $3 for each time after. If you take it off-road you're very likely to knock it out of alignment, so it pays for itself pretty quickly. I know this is kind of off topic, but I just wanted to let others know about it.

Just finished my custom in-dash dvd install and my 100% custom designed and installed by me. 8)

2 - 800 watt 10" Lanzar Max ST Subs which are powered by a 2400 watt Lanzar amp.

Got to represent

Installed a 7" Pioneer AVH-4400BH I used a red pilot toggle switch as a manual shut off for my sub system.

I put the bass boost in the glove compartment.

And honestly I have yet to hear a single song that does not sound good on the new system yet from any music genre .

JeepMonkey190 system looks great. I have the same deck. Upgraded from the 4300dvd. I wish I could have a bigger sub box but a stroller takes up ALL of my space. Does the switch cut off the power or remote?

Thanks, and thats a bummer about not enough space  but the switch is the amp remote cut off, but without the remote the amp will have power but will not turn on.

Just made a temporary winch mount. I only hook it up when I need it, when I don't I take it out and retain my angles. This is my temporary fix until I get my new bumper in a year or two.
The winch was supposed to be upright, but we didn't have the material at the time to extend it out, so we improvised. That is why it's upside down, but it still works and will hopefully do its job if I so need it. I needed this for my trip to Colorado and Utah tomorrow so we were pressed for time.

I like your enginuity, but be careful man.
I would hate to hear of someone getting hurt by that setup.
Don't be offended, but that will not hold for much of a pull.
If it were me, i'd weld that receiver all the way around the tow hook bracket with multi pass welds, put a strong backplate inside the unibody hole and use a receiver shackle.
Someone posted something like that in the fabrication section and i thought it was an awesome idea.

That winch looks a little light man, be careful, bad things can happen when using undersized equipment. I'm not trying to dog your setup but that looks like an ATV winch. :2cents:

It's cool. I understand the worry. It is welded to the tow hook point. I don't know much about the weld, but the my friend who welded it assures me it will hold.

I know a little about mechanical advantage, I'm on a heavy search and extraction team, so I'm using a snatch block to decrease the load on the winch and cable. I should have a theoretical 6,000 lbs of pull. If the unthinkable does happen I will be out of its way inside the vehicle and I will be sure that anybody in the area is a safe distance away.
The remote works from inside, so I should be fine. I understand that there isn't much of a safety margin, but this is for emergency use.
I am borrowing this winch when I get my own it will be much stronger, but I think this should do me some good. The guy I borrowed it from and who welded it is a mechanical engineer who uses it on his Toyota Tacoma.
